RESTART: A Regional Task Force to Recover and Regain Momentum Post-COVID-19
OVERVIEW
The RESTART Task Force was convened in March 2020 by the Cincinnati Regional Chamber, the Cincinnati Business Committee, Cincinnati Regional Business Committee, and REDI Cincinnati. Led by more than two dozen business and community leaders, the task force is working to ensure the Cincinnati region recovers strongly and regains the momentum it had before the COVID-19 crisis.
At the same time, our community must rally now to help ensure that our local economy strongly navigates the short- and long-term challenges of this crisis. As efforts are being coordinated to help individuals and businesses address the short-term challenges, we must also keep our efforts focused on the long-term: continuing as best we can, and in many cases restarting, our economy and commerce. This pandemic will pass, and our community will rise again. When we do, it will be a changed world. Our recent momentum gives us a strong base. And business leaders in the Cincinnati region must mobilize intentionally and thoughtfully now both to ensure we keep focus on the current importance of our continuing economy and to ensure that we emerge from this crisis with that momentum still driving us into the future.
